Congrats to Maurice Zandvliet and colleagues from UMC, Hubrecht Institute, Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, Oncode and PMC from Utrecht, Amsterdam University Medical Center, Amsterdam Institute for Immunology and Infectious Diseases, University of Amsterdam, and Maastricht Multimodal Molecular Imaging Institute on their paper: Tuft cells act as regenerative stem cells in the human intestine in Nature. They show that tuft cells represent a damage-induced reserve intestinal cell pool.
