ECVIM-CA
At the ECVIM-CA Congress in Berlin, PhD candidate Kirsten van Bokhorst received the ESVE award for the best poster for her research on the pathology of canine adrenal incidentalomas.
The Utrecht team was also well represented by Supita Sunpongsri, who presented her study on the cardiac effects of pheochromocytomas, and Marit van den Berg, who spoke about the genetics of pheochromocytoma. Together with Sara Galac, who gave a lecture on adrenal incidentalomas and participated in a panel discussion, they successfully showcased Utrecht’s adrenal research.
Furthermore, Sara Galac and Hans Kooistra were both recognized for their contributions as former presidents of the ESVE. Receiving their certificates of recognition during the ESVE dinner was a very special moment for them both.
Last but not least, Hans Kooistra was appointed an honorary member of the ESVE. Hans was one of the founding members of the society in 2001. In addition to his major scientific contributions to veterinary endocrinology, he has been a dedicated mentor and an important source of inspiration to many of us.
